Standard Compression springs
Our standard compression springs are versatile and suitable for a wide array of applications, such as electronics, toys, mattresses, medical devices, industrial equipment, and more. Each spring is made in compliance with international standards, including DIN2098, SS2387-2, and SF-TF, so you can rest assured you receive a quality product.
These springs consist of open-coil helical designs, wound to resist compression along the axis. When the spring is loaded, it compresses and pushes back the force, attempting to return to its original length against the load.
At Lesjöfors Stock Spring US, we also design custom compression springs to meet your unique needs, whether you need standard, coil, or conical configurations. Simply provide us with the required specifications, and our expert team will be in touch to discuss and refine your requirements.
Legend:
- T.C. = Total Coils
- R = Spring Rate
Coiling: Right hand
Springs with W.D. ≤ 0.4 do not have ground end coils; others have 3/4 end coils ground. Springs with W.D.≥ 2.0 are shot peened.
Pre-setting
Springs with high stress under load up to CL are pre-set to solid length.
Material:
Lesjöfors Stock Spring US' standard compression springs are crafted with various materials, depending on the design and intended application.
Unalloyed spring steel:
- EN 10270-1-SH
- EN 10270-2-FDSiCr
Stainless spring steel:
- SUS304WPB
- EN10270-3-1.4310
Minimum Load Length and Temperature:
Minimum load length CL applies to static or pseudo-static loaded springs functioning at temperatures up to approximately 104°F for unalloyed springs and up to about 302°F for stainless steel springs.
For most applications, the relaxation or power loss over time will remain within acceptable limits. For higher operating temperatures or dynamic life demands exceeding 10,000 cycles, the spring should not be fully loaded to CL.
Maximum Permitted Operating Temperature:
- EN10270-1-SH ~ 248°F
- EN 10270-2-FDSiCr ~ 482°F
- EN10270-3-1.4310 ~ 482°F
- SUS304WPB ~ 482°F
